Six years ago, Course Hero committed to improving the global landscape of education through the launch of the Knowledge Drive. Together with the non-profit organization Books for Africa, the Knowledge Drive was created to help build a brighter academic future for students worldwide.
With help from students and educators across the globe, that goal has been exceeded in brilliant fashion, as the Knowledge Drive recently surpassed 250,000 books donated to Books for Africa and students abroad. This accomplishment is a direct result of the sustained generosity of our student community, and it is amazing to see that consistent contributions have helped us jump from 50,000 to 100,000 to 250,000 books donated!
At the core of the Knowledge Drive have been Course Hero’s student leaders from colleges all over the US and Canada. They used their intellect, passion, and dedication to turn what was once a simple premise into an international philanthropic initiative. In celebration of their compelling leadership, and surpassing a quarter million books donated abroad, we asked a handful of our student leaders to share what it means to be drive such a tremendous accomplishment.

Being part of the Course Hero Knowledge Drive means I am a part of a bigger story that fits into the world of giving back. As a college student, it is sometimes hard to find ways to make a difference or make a large impact that goes beyond my school or community.
